Sixers' Jared McCain posts workout video as he works back from injury

Philadelphia 76ers guard Jared McCain was on his way to establishing himself as the clear front runner for the Rookie of the Year award for 2024-25 before he suffered a lateral tear in the meniscus in his left knee. The injury required surgery and his season was cut short after just 23 games.

McCain, the No. 16 pick in the 2024 draft, averaged 15.3 points, 2.6 assists, and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 46% from the floor and 38.3% from deep. He was a bright spot in what was a tough start for the Sixers and what turned into a tough year for them.

As McCain continues to recover from the injury, the young guard posted a workout video on his Instagram account to highlight what he has been able to do as he progresses.

McCain will be a big part of whatever the Sixers want to do in the 2025-26 season. One has to believe he will be in the running to start alongside Tyrese Maxey in the backcourt. Of course, that will be up to coach Nick Nurse to decide, but the Sixers should be able to find a way to make things work with him having a prominent role on the team.
