Largest Ever Bitcoin Block Inscribed by Logos Ahead of Ordinal Collection Release



Logos, a decentralized technology stack that has positioned itself for building self-sovereign virtual territories, inscribed the largest ever Bitcoin block on May 2nd, at 8:34 AM GMT+1. In a press release shared with CryptoDaily, Logos confirmed that the inscription will be followed by an Ordinals collection released later this year.

This milestone follows closely on the heels of the previous record-breaking block of 3.969 MB, which was inscribed on April 19th, 2024 on a standard sat. Logos’ inscription of its manifesto, was minted on a Nakamoto Satoshi block as a symbolic acknowledgment of Bitcoin’s achievement in realizing many of the original ideals espoused by the cypherpunk movement.

The ‘Logos Operators’ ordinals collection will serve as the entry point to the Logos’ technology stack, offering individuals a pathway to exit the traditional internet paradigm and experience digital sovereignty. 

In a statement, the pseudonymous Logos Exit Operator expressed, “We are rebuilding the internet to safeguard civil liberties by design. We invite high-level Operators to pioneer this new ecosystem, forging a sovereign enclave in cyberspace.” 

“Bitcoin embodies the cypherpunk dream of a global, voluntary, decentralized system. It is only fitting that the Bitcoin community leads the charge towards this new frontier.”

The Exit Game lets participants register their interest in the ordinal collection.

The Logos Technology Stack

The Logo technology stack includes three modular, privacy-preserving protocols: Nomos (consensus), Codex (storage), and Waku (messaging). Combined, they claim to provide the technical foundation for cyber states, network states, and other borderless public institutions based on voluntary consent.

The press release mentions that Nomos, the stack’s native layer one blockchain, is projected to have basic functionalities on testnet by the year’s end. Nomos addresses a network state’s fundamental need for sovereignty and interconnectedness by balancing the ability to enable sovereign communities to form and govern by their own rules, with an architecture that enables the communities to remain connected. 

The Logos storage layer, Codex, is projected to have a functioning incentivized testnet this year. Codex seeks to offer a decentralized storage solution that leads in efficiency in terms of storage and bandwidth usage, while offering data persistence and durability guarantees comparable to existing peer-to-peer storage solutions.

The Logos communications layer, Waku, has notably been recognized by Vitalik Buterin as realizing the original vision of a decentralized messaging protocol for Web3. It is currently being used by several DApps including Railgun and Status.
