Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany welcome 3rd child, Golden Raye, 6 days before Chiefs face Texans

Patrick Mahomes knows how to make the best of a bye week.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and his wife, Brittany, who are also co-owners of the Kansas City Current, announced on Monday that they welcomed their third child on Jan. 12, a baby girl named Golden Raye.

Golden Raye joins older sister Sterling Skye, 3, and older brother Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 2. Her name fits in perfectly with her siblings’ metal-related names.

Patrick and Brittany welcomed their youngest child during the bye week between Chiefs games. Kansas City finished its the regular season on Jan. 5 as the No. 1 seed in the AFC, which meant the Chiefs got to skip Wild Card Weekend, when all the lower seeds fight it out to make it to the divisional round. They play the Houston Texans on Saturday, so Golden Raye was born near the midpoint between the two games.

The couple has been together since high school. They got engaged in Sept. 2020 not long after Patrick received his first Super Bowl ring. They got married in March 2022, just over a year after Brittany gave birth to their first child. Baby Patrick came along later that year, in Nov. 2022.
