Timelapse Shows Palisades Fire Raging in Los Angeles

Evacuations were ordered as a fast-moving wildfire swept through the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles on Tuesday morning, January 7, amid warnings about the “potentially life-threatening” arrival of the Santa Ana winds.

Timelapse video from Jack Butler shows the fire spreading and a plume of smoke increasing in size as it billowed over the Santa Monica Mountains.

By early afternoon, the fire had grown to 200 acres and was zero percent contained, according to Cal Fire. Credit: Jack Butler via Storyful
