DALLAS — Jammel Ward and Kira Bowman of Royse City finished first in their events at the Jesuit-Sheaner Relays.
Ward won the Class 6A boys long jump with a leap of 23 feet, 1 3/4 inches.
Bowman tied with returning state medalist Brooklyn Nalley of Rockwall-Heath for first place in the girls pole vault. Both lifters cleared 12 feet, 6 inches.
Allyson Otis of Royse City cleared 5-8 to place third in the girls high jump.
Adric Evans of Royse City was third in the 6A boys 400-meter run at 49.63.
The meet attracted a huge field of teams including 48 teams that placed in the varsity girls team standings and 41 in the 6A boys standings.

EUSTACE — I’zaria Kilson, Chase Gossett and Malik Garcia won events to lead the Commerce track and field team at the Stan Stowers Relays.
Kilson won the girls 400 and 200 dashes in the times of 60.36 seconds and 26.68 seconds.
Gossett won the varsity boys 1600 in 4:30.66 and was second in the 800 (2:04.19).
Garcia won the varsity boys triple jump with a leap of 44 feet, 3 1/4 inches. He was also sixth in the long jump (19-6 1/4).
The Commerce Tigers placed second in the varsity boys team standings with 78 points and the Lady Tigers were ninth in the girls division with 28 points.
