Watch: Cooper Kupp gets emotional sendoff from Puka Nacua and other Rams with one last workout

Matthew Stafford and Andrew Whitworth were also there to send Kupp off to Seattle

Cooper Kupp signed with the Seattle Seahawks in the middle of March following his release from the Los Angeles Rams, but he hasn’t yet left Southern California for the Pacific Northwest.

It seems he’ll be heading out soon because this week, he and some other teammates had one last workout together at a gym they call “The Village” in Westlake Village. It was an emotional sendoff for the former Rams receiver, with Puka Nacua, Matthew Stafford, Andrew Whitworth, Jordan Whittington and others there to say their goodbyes.

Nacua shared some kind words for Kupp in a video posted on Instagram, describing just how much Cooper has meant to him in the last two years.

“It doesn’t necessarily feel real, but it’s been an absolute blessing in my life to be able to watch him work and be able to be by his side and to be able to work with him and compete with him and to hear all the advice he’s given and the cues he has in the game of football and the understanding he has of how to be a leader in the locker room, how to be a professional, how to be a father, how to be a great teammate and how to be one of the best players in the National Football League,” Nacua said. “It’s been the perfect combination of everything. I know this won’t be the end of our relationship. We’ll continue to grow and it’ll be exciting to see him do his thing out there.”

It’s sad to see Kupp leaving Los Angeles for Seattle, and it’s obvious this isn’t what he wanted, but there’s no doubt he’ll remain close to guys like Stafford, Nacua, Whittington and Whitworth.

This video shows the impact he had on all of his teammates in L.A., both young and old.
